Ivel Agricultural Motors

In 1903, the innovative British engineer Dan Albone initiated the manufacture of a pioneering three-wheeled, gasoline-powered tractor intended for agricultural use, establishing a strong claim to creating one of the earliest genuinely practical "lightweight" farm tractors. Though Albone’s life was cut short in 1906, the Ivel tractor continued to be built until 1920, at which point Ivel Agricultural Motors unfortunately succumbed to financial difficulties and declared bankruptcy.
