REO lawn tractors

From the 1940s through to 1970, REO produced a range of lawn mowers. Rooted in the pioneering work of Ransom Olds, the REO Motor Car Company initially established itself as a creator of automobiles and trucks. Beginning in 1946, REO ventured into lawn care equipment, achieving notable prosperity in the 1950s with self-propelled reel mowers driven by their uniquely designed engines. A restructuring in 1954 led to the lawn mower division ultimately being incorporated into Wheel Horse by 1963. Wheel Horse maintained the REO name on their products until 1970.
