Enhancements to the Case IH Luxxum Line

Case IH – May 25, 2022

Case IH has refined its Luxxum tractor series with a new power unit and several key features, solidifying its standing as a leading choice amongst versatile utility tractors. The three adaptable models, engineered for medium-sized livestock and mixed farming operations and delivering 101, 110, and 117 horsepower, now boast even greater performance while adhering to the latest Stage V engine emission standards.

Still coupled with the smooth-shifting ActiveDrive 4 semi-automatic transmission, the updated FPT Stage V four-cylinder engine delivers increased power and enhanced efficiency. This new, larger 3.6-liter F5 engine occupies the same space as its predecessor, preserving the Luxxum's inherently compact dimensions.

The revised engine unlocks a number of performance advantages, including elevated power output across the lower spectrum of its operating range, and torque levels increased by up to 5%, resulting in heightened productivity and an improved driving experience. Peak torque is now achieved at the lower engine speed of 1,300 rpm, which strengthens load responsiveness and enhances starting capability under substantial demands. “The Luxxum is already a highly favored model with mixed and livestock farms in both hilly and flat terrains,” states Can Tumer, Product Marketing Manager. “The integration of the latest technologies bestows upon it increased vigor on inclines or when towing larger implements. Coupled with the other enhancements, you have a truly exceptional all-rounder.”

Advanced Exhaust Treatment System

The newest Luxxum tractors also incorporate a state-of-the-art exhaust after-treatment system – the maintenance-free “Compact HI-eSCR2” solution. This system, designed to meet Stage V regulations, integrates a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), a maintenance-free particulate filter, and a selective catalyst reduction (SCR) unit.

The engine’s minimal exhaust gas recirculation rate—currently under 10%, the best in the industry—optimizes combustion while minimizing the size of the SCR system, resulting in a single, compact layout housed entirely under the hood. Consequently, operator visibility remains unobstructed and the tractor's maneuverability is uncompromised. The Compact HI-eSCR2 after-treatment system requires no maintenance, eliminating the need for component replacement or extensive mechanical cleaning throughout its lifespan.

Additional Features and New L Series Front Loader

Luxxum Stage V tractors now arrive with a range of new options, further solidifying their leading position in the all-purpose utility market. An optional leather steering wheel and cab floor carpeting, mirroring those found on larger models, will be available, along with two new worklights, increasing the total to ten, for easier and safer nighttime or low-light operation.

As a dedicated all-purpose utility tractor, front loader operation is crucial for Luxxum owners. The new machines will feature a fully compatible electrohydraulic joystick that accelerates work cycles. This joystick seamlessly integrates front loader controls with transmission controls, negating the need to switch between the Multicontroller and joystick. The joystick is compatible with the new L series front loaders, available in various configurations to meet diverse customer requirements. The 'A' range delivers functional, simple, reliable, and economical performance, while the 'U' range is ideal for everyday handling tasks. The flagship 'T' range is engineered for intensive handling work. A broad array of attachments is also readily available.

Specifying a suitable loader for a new Luxxum Stage V tractor has become even simpler and more streamlined, mirroring the process for its counterparts – Puma, Maxxum, Vestrum, and Farmall C. The new L Series can now be ordered via the Case IH dealer configurator digital software as a single purchase, encompassing the selected tractor and its chosen, perfectly matched loader.

The new tractors and loaders are currently available through Case IH dealerships throughout Europe.
