AGCO unveils a new standard in focused capability with the North American arrival of the Massey Ferguson 6S Series tractor. Massey Ferguson will showcase the MF 6S Series, alongside its complete S Series range, at exhibit 7823 during the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky, February 16-19.
The remarkably adaptable new machine delivers up to 180 horsepower – the greatest output from a four-cylinder engine currently available. This potent force is combined with intuitive controls and innovative technology for peak performance across a wide spectrum of tasks.
“Those deeply connected to the land understand that maximizing output is paramount to success in any agricultural endeavor,” stated Darren Parker, vice president of Massey Ferguson North America. “The new MF 6S Series provides the muscle of a six-cylinder engine within the compact dimensions and nimble handling of a four-cylinder, equipping busy producers with the perfect machine to accomplish tasks swiftly and effectively.”
Concentrated Performance for Enhanced Productivity
The MF 6S Series is available in four models, differentiated by horsepower – 145, 155, 165, and 180 – and features a 4.9-liter AGCO Power engine renowned for its reliability and industry-leading sustainability. Operators can select from two transmission options to optimize productivity based on their specific power needs. The Dyna-6 transmission delivers exceptional fuel economy with 24 forward and reverse gears, reaching speeds up to 31 mph. The Dyna-VT transmission enables operators to pinpoint the exact speed without compromising engine RPM, ensuring optimal output in every situation. This transmission is also offered with a 50-gallon-per-minute load-sensing hydraulic system. With a maximum lift capacity of 21,164 pounds, impressive towing capability, and a gross vehicle weight of up to 27,558 pounds, the MF 6S Series excels when handling substantial loads and demanding implements.
This power is housed within a compact frame, giving hay producers best-in-class power and torque with a 900-pound reduction in weight compared to comparable six-cylinder models – minimizing impact on the soil. Furthermore, the MF 6S Series is designed for silage hay and 5-foot-wide round baling operations, providing high-performance functionality without hindering subsequent cutting yields. A perfectly balanced power-to-weight ratio efficiently manages heavy hay balers, while a 15-foot, 7-inch turning radius enables superior maneuverability in both fields and livestock pens.
User-Focused Operation for Peak Comfort and Efficiency
Straightforward operation and enhanced comfort complement the concentrated power of the MF 6S Series. Consistent with the overall S Series design, first introduced with the MF 8S Series, the cab layout utilizes simple color coding on all controls for quick identification and effortless operation. Deluxe models also boast a new ergonomic armrest featuring the customizable MultiPad lever and E/H Multifunction joystick, providing intuitive, effortless control of all major functions. The optional Datatronic 5 terminal features an easy-to-navigate digital dashboard that can be tailored to operator preferences. This advanced technology streamlines operation, enabling producers to adjust settings for hydraulics, transmission, and engine from a single, convenient terminal for maximum efficiency in any application.

For increased versatility in loading applications, the MF 6S Series is available with fully integrated loader provisions and a factory-installed live third function with proportional command. The tractor offers a lifting capacity of up to 5,070 pounds and a reach exceeding 13 feet, making it ideal for demanding tasks in hay and livestock operations.
