State-of-the-Art Powertrain

The 7.4-liter engine boasts the largest displacement in its class for this size of tractor, guaranteeing dependability and fuel efficiency. Peak power is readily available at exceptionally low engine speeds of 1850 rpm, and maximum torque remains consistently high between 1000 and 1500 rpm. The long-stroke design effortlessly generates the substantial power and torque characteristic of the Q Series. Valtra’s EcoPower philosophy has been applied throughout the Q Series range, further minimizing fuel consumption. Maximum travel speed is achieved with a modest 1500 rpm.

The transmission is incredibly straightforward to operate. The Q Series’ electronic transmission management automatically selects the lowest feasible engine speed for the task at hand, maintaining optimal fuel economy and distributing power effectively to the hydraulics, PTO, or transmission. The operator simply fine-tunes the settings to match the task or their preference. Utilizing droop control, the operator can modify the tractor's behavior to prioritize either fuel savings or increased productivity, depending on their cost-optimization strategy.

The Q Series strikes an ideal balance – it’s not excessively lightweight, nor is it overly heavy, weighing in at 9.2 tons and protecting soil from compaction. The maximum permissible gross weight of 16 tons ensures a substantial payload capacity and legal compliance. The Q Series boasts a compact footprint, a low overall height, and a long wheelbase, resulting in a remarkably low center of gravity and exceptional stability. Aires Suspension, combined with the extended wheelbase, enhances the tractor’s pulling force and reduces power hopping, while the air suspension’s rapid response time further increases ground grip compared to conventional hydraulic systems.

At road speeds, power transmission is almost entirely mechanical, providing swift and fluid acceleration. Both the cab and front axle are air-suspended, perfectly synchronized to deliver a remarkably smooth ride in any environment or temperature, whether harvesting on a sweltering summer day or clearing snow during the winter months.

The Q Series seamlessly integrates into any fleet thanks to Valtra Connect’s advanced telemetry and easy-to-use task management capabilities, enabling smooth integration with FMIS and Agrirouter. All smart farming features within the Q Series are intelligently and simply controlled through the SmartTouch user interface. Task files can be conveniently stored, allowing tasks to be initiated with just a few taps and swipes, enhanced by the accuracy and efficiency of ISOBUS features. Combined with Auto U-pilot, SmartTurn elevates the Q Series’ ease of use to new heights. With SmartTurn, field operations become fully automated, allowing drivers to focus entirely on the implement and the task at hand. Operators can select from automated turning patterns to minimize soil compaction and maximize speed and efficiency.

True to Valtra tradition, the Q Series can be further customized with Valtra Unlimited. From upgrades to the cab or tractor color to specialized adaptations for contracting work in the field or on the road, Valtra customers can truly tailor the Q Series to their specific needs, further enhancing productivity.

Q Series can be optimized with the Valtra Unlimited automatic central lubricating system, ensuring consistently smooth operation and eliminating the need for laborious manual lubrication. Valtra’s intelligent central tire inflation system protects the soil structure in the field and optimizes fuel consumption on the road. Valtra Unlimited enhances safety with new integrated LED front work lights, providing balanced illumination in front and to both sides. Auto beacons activate when the speed reaches 25 kmph, and the follow-me-home function illuminates the yard for increased safety when exiting the cab, leaving the front work lights illuminated for a period of time.
