New Holland Advances T4 Series Tractors
New Holland – February 9, 2023
New Holland Agriculture is further solidifying its prominent position within the specialized tractor market through the debut of the innovative VisionView cab on the T4 F/N/V Series, alongside a revitalized, more potent engine and streamlined hood design for the TK4 Series.
This line has already begun to garner international acclaim, with the T4.120F recognized as the Best Specialized Tractor at the Tractor of the Year 2023 Awards. This prestigious accolade, bestowed by a panel of independent agricultural mechanization journalists, signifies the pinnacle of tractor excellence in the current market.
“This remarkable award once again highlights New Holland’s unwavering dominance as the leading force in the specialized tractor arena,” stated Carlo Lambro, Brand President of New Holland. “For seven decades, we’ve remained at the forefront of this sector by consistently innovating, refining, and expanding our uniquely comprehensive portfolio to address the most specific needs of our clientele. This latest “Best of Specialized” designation is a testament to the dedication and expertise invested in this crucial segment.”
T4 F/N/V VisionView cab: Redefining Comfort, Visibility, and Safety
The revolutionary VisionView cab introduces an unparalleled level of comfort, akin to operating in an open field, within the narrow confines of the T4 F/N/V Series, offering a spacious environment and a level platform for operators of all sizes. The distinctive design of the front windshield, coupled with the industry’s lowest and most compact hood – fully enclosing and safeguarding all after-treatment systems – creates a striking aesthetic and best-in-class all-around visibility. The one-piece side window and four-pillar construction further enhance visibility to the sides and rear, overcoming the limitations of space.
“New Holland has consistently led the specialized tractor segment for seven decades, earning its reputation as the unquestioned leader through continuous innovation and enhancements to our product line,” explained Oscar Baroncelli, Global Tractor Product Management Leader for New Holland Agriculture. “Throughout the years, we have meticulously cultivated our exceptionally broad offering to meet the increasingly nuanced demands of our customers and anticipate their evolving expectations. The new T4 F/N/V VisionView cab sets a new standard by completely reimagining the product around the needs of the operator.”
The VisionView cab also boasts the quietest operating environment in its class, registering a noise level as low as 71 dB(A). This contributes to operator comfort and safety and is available with the complete benefits of the exclusive Blue Cab4 system featuring Category 2 and 4 double filtration. The infotainment and human-machine interface have also been updated with the InfoView digital instrument cluster to manage all machine controls and settings.
T4 F/N/V seamlessly blends power and performance within a compact frame
The T4 F/N/V VisionView cab delivers robust performance with emissions reduced by a factor of 40 compared to previous generations. The F5C FPT engine achieves peak torque of 518Nm at a low engine speed of 1,300 RPM, with a torque reserve of up to 40%. Beyond sheer power, these features deliver the most versatile solution for customers across all their applications. Tailored to customer needs, hydraulic circuits have been redesigned, providing up to 80L/min with a single pump for new linkages and hydraulic remotes.
The T4 series tractors are ideal machines for contractors and smaller to medium-sized orchards and vineyards managing high-value crops, seeking high performance, comfort, and reliability in a tractor perfectly sized for specialized tasks. Thanks to the VisionView cab and all other technical advancements, this tractor is a Finalist for the TOTY 2023 award in the Best Specialized category.
TK4 Series: Enhanced to Deliver Increased Power
The TK4 series crawler tractors have been updated with a new aesthetic to align with the latest wheeled specialty tractors. New Holland’s crawlers have a long and rich history, dating back to 1932, and remain an integral part of the company’s heritage. This new addition confirms the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in this sector and reinforcing its established leadership position.
The open field models have been upgraded with new, more powerful Stage V engines, delivering maximum power ranging from 85 to 109 HP, and an after-treatment system incorporating EGR, DOC, and SCRoF. The narrowest models feature a 75 HP Stage V engine and an after-treatment system with EGR, DOC, and DPF, eliminating the need for DEF. Across all models, the compact design of the engine and after-treatment system fits neatly under the hood, ensuring excellent visibility and maneuverability.
The new specifications complement a vehicle that has always embodied exclusivity and unique features, continuing to make it the best-selling crawler tractor. Some of these exclusive elements include a factory-fitted cab for Crawlers (introduced in 2009) or the SmartTrax rubber track system that is interchangeable with steel tracks in less than an hour, removing the need for trailering during transport, while also reducing vibrations and enhancing comfort. Or, the Steering-O-Matic Plus: a steer and clutch system with a single control to steer, brake, stop and re-start without a clutch pedal. Finally, the Lift-O-Matic Plus system: an award-winning mechanical hydraulic control system that allows operators to raise or lower the rear linkage while making a headland turn, maintaining position and draft settings. When pushing/pulling the lever, if released, the implement immediately stops at the height corresponding to the actual implement position. A gentle push or pull of this convenient lever allows for minor adjustments.
