Introducing Six Advanced Case IH Steiger Tractors

Case IH – February 14, 2023

Building upon nearly seven decades of industry leadership, the renowned Case IH Steiger series now welcomes six entirely new, high-horsepower models. Engineered to conquer the most demanding agricultural and worksite challenges, the Steiger 425, 475, 525, 555, 595 and 645 tractors deliver unprecedented power – the highest available in any articulated four-wheel-drive tractor – coupled with exceptional operator comfort and the advanced AFS Connect data management system. This fusion of capabilities provides unmatched efficiency and cutting-edge functionality within a singularly efficient machine. Collectively, these enhancements ensure enduring dependability while reinforcing the inherent strength, operational simplicity, and customizable nature that defines the Steiger series, enabling it to excel in countless applications and operational scenarios.

“For generations, Steiger tractors have been a familiar and trusted presence on farms across the nation,” notes Mitch Kaiser, marketing manager for Case IH Steiger and Quadtrac tractors. “These new AFS Connect Steiger models escalate performance, offering increased horsepower, improved torque, optimized fuel efficiency, and enhanced comfort – all while empowering operators with expanded capabilities for seamless data tracking, confident sharing, and intelligent management.”

New peak horsepower levels elevate industry-leading performance and productivity.

Strength, efficiency, simplicity, and reliability have long been hallmarks of the Steiger series, making it a favored choice among growers. Now, significant power enhancements take this already exceptional design to new heights. With an industry-leading horsepower range extending from 467 to 699, the new AFS Connect Steiger series tractors equip operators with the power necessary to overcome even the most formidable challenges in both fields and on job sites.

These improvements are realized through all-new Stage V engine upgrades that enhance engine responsiveness by 50% while maintaining extended service intervals. An advanced fuel system, featuring next-generation fuel injection technology and a redesigned fuel lift pump, streamlines fuel delivery, while refined cooling and ventilation systems ensure optimal efficiency at all power levels. Simultaneously, Steiger tractors equipped with AFS Connect generate lower emissions, enabling operators to operate responsibly while maximizing uptime and minimizing operating costs.

These power upgrades are complemented by two proven transmission options. Operators can continue to rely on the Patented Diesel-Saver Automated Productivity Management (APM) PowerDrive powershift transmission – a continued industry leader in mechanical power, ideal for applications like tillage and high-draft operations – or choose the innovative CVXDrive continuously variable transmission for effortlessly smooth power transfer at any speed.

Comprehensive exterior and cab renovations establish a new standard for operator comfort.

Case IH has developed the Model Year 2024 Steiger series with a strong focus on operator well-being, alongside high-horsepower capabilities. Extensive upgrades to the exterior styling, visibility, and cab interior create a more comfortable and convenient experience for long days in the field.

“We recognize that extended periods operating in the field can be demanding for operators,” explains Kaiser. “Therefore, we have prioritized comfort enhancements, because we believe in-cab convenience is as crucial as in-field productivity. To that end, we’ve improved lighting conditions by 27% and visibility by 8% – all while boosting fuel economy and overall power output.”

The complete list of cab updates includes:

Redesigned cab top and subroof styling

Integrated overhead grab rails for enhanced operator security

Improved door handles for easier entry and exit

A premium sound option, featuring an amplifier, tweeters, a 6.5-inch ported subwoofer, and additional speaker grills

Enhanced LED lighting package with increased output for comprehensive 360-degree nighttime visibility

New front and upper-roof side RAM mounts for versatile display mounting

Additional front console storage

Technological advancements amplify in-field performance.

From remote monitoring to seamless data transfer, the AFS Connect Steiger series has rapidly become synonymous with connectivity and productivity. Now, further enhancements to these models elevate performance across a wider range of applications.

For example, select Steiger models can now be equipped with a second AFS Pro 1200 display, enabling dual-display in-cab management for simultaneous viewing and monitoring of separate ISOBUS implements, such as planters, fertilizer applicators, air seeders, and more. Models also support industry-leading AFS AccuSync machine coordination and AFS AccuTurn Pro technology – allowing for one-button turns and delivering advanced autoguidance capabilities – resulting in greater efficiency during extended field operations.

Steiger 425, 475, 525, 555, 595 and 645 tractors with AFS Connect are currently available in select configurations – Quadtrac; Rowtrac; scraper; and a chassis designed for heavy-duty wheels – for use in tillage, planting, seeding, slurry application, fertilization, land leveling, and other applications.
