New Holland Broadens Power Command Transmission Availability to T7.270 LWB

New Holland – August 27, 2024

New Holland Agriculture has expanded the offering of its Power Command full powershift transmission, now available as an option for the T7.270 Long Wheelbase (LWB) tractor. Engineered specifically for row crop operations, this tractor delivers unwavering dependability and substantial power, empowering operators to effortlessly manage the rigorous demands of field work.

“The T7.270 LWB equipped with the Power Command transmission represents an exceptional tractor for customers aiming to elevate their row crop and field performance, while also desiring a user-friendly, versatile, and remarkably robust machine,” states Ken Paul, Product Marketing Manager for CNH. “It provides access to as many as 19 gear ratios without any interruption in drive, and gear changes are seamlessly executed with either a simple button press or a gentle pulse of the Command Grip handle.”

Exceptional Comfort, Enhanced Productivity, and Cutting-Edge Technology

Operator well-being forms the core of the T7 LWB’s design. New to this tractor are 60-inch tire configurations and a quick-hitch framework. Among its many advantages is the Horizon Ultra cab, renowned as the quietest in its class, boasting a sound level of only 66 dBA. It incorporates front suspension control, hydraulic remote valves with decoupler levers, and an expansive, best-in-class fuel tank with a capacity of 123 gallons. The T7 LWB also delivers up to 45 gallons per minute of hydraulic flow, catering to the most challenging hydraulic applications, and delivers efficient horsepower – capable of handling a diverse range of fieldwork, from cultivation and baling to loader tasks and operating planters with up to 16 rows.

Integrated within the model are New Holland’s sophisticated PLM Intelligence solutions and advanced digital technologies, designed to maximize the tractor’s productivity and help customers optimize yields while managing input costs. This includes Autoguidance systems tailored for row crop requirements.

Featured within the T7 LWB series are best-in-class technological applications such as the IntelliView 12 display, IntelliTurn, and Headland Turn Sequencer II, along with the inclusion of a GPS activation point. Connected farming packages, which contribute to improved uptime and streamlined machine management through a wealth of valuable features, are integrated into the tractor's technology framework. One notable new feature is IntelliField, a function that provides real-time, in-field data sharing capabilities for boundaries, guidance lines, and coverage information when multiple machines – up to six – are operating within the same field.

T7 LWB powershift models also incorporate the exclusive Ground Speed Management II control package. This technology allows the operator to sustain consistently high levels of productivity throughout the workday. The operator can establish a target speed for the tractor – similar to the Auto Command CVT mode – and the tractor will automatically achieve that speed at the lowest possible engine RPM, ultimately contributing to reduced fuel consumption.

A Special Edition to Celebrate a Milestone

The T7.270 LWB with Power Command transmission will make its North American premiere at the 2024 Farm Progress Show, held August 27-29, 2024, in Boone, Iowa. It will be presented in a unique celebratory design to commemorate 60 years since the opening of New Holland's global tractor factory in Basildon, England.
